Thank you my blogger friends!
Exactly a month ago I had written a post about blogging and commenting and how it has become such an integral part of my day to day life. How I feel the ups and downs of the bloggers whom I read regularly, the sadness and happiness affect me as they affect them, I also feel proud as the other blogging mother's raving about their kids activities.
But in the last 2 weeks, when I went MIA (Missing In Action) I realised its not just me who feels this way. Its them bloggers also who feel this way too. When I got messages from Stone, Kodi's Mom, Mystic Margarita, JLT, Whats in a Name, moppets mom asking me about my whereabouts and why I had not been posting all this long that it brought a smile to my face. A smile because it dawned on me that my feelings towards other bloggers are reciprocated equally. The bond I felt with them, they felt the same too - towards me! And that really felt nice and heart warming. Even if its a virtual bonding, there IS a bonding!
And all I want to say now is "Thank you my blogger friends! Thank you for thinking about me!"

Weird dreams during pregnancy about the baby!
I recently read a post by Shruthi about a dream that she remembers from her pregnancy. It reminded me of my two very weird dreams. And when I say very weird, I mean VERY WEIRD. Read on and you will agree with me
~ Dream 1 ~
I've a friend over whom I'm meeting after the longest while and we are talking and talking and talking and suddenly I feel uneasy. And I'm like "What the hell..I'm so bored with this pregnancy. Let me take the baby out." So what I do is scoop my hand inside and pull out the baby! :P
(I woke up all sweaty after this dream and couldn't sleep for a really long time. I'm sure anyone in my place wouldn't have been too sleep either.)
~ Dream 2 ~
I'm holding our baby who seemed to about 2-3 month young and I'm trying to nurse him but somehow its not working. The baby is not able to suckle on and we both, the baby and me, are getting irritated. Suddenly the baby "talks to me" and says "Bottle se pila do na!"
I stare at the baby mouth open wide because my lil infant can talk ..already?? And then I just scurry up to bring the bottle of milk as suggested by the baby :D
(I was in my 8th month of pregnancy when I saw this dream and it had me amused for many a days post that day. )
Any of you had any such dreams..weird/funny/amusing kinds?

Back from hibernation
As some of you have noticed I had been into hibernation - partly by circumstances and partly by choice. If we go by order of correct sequence, 'by choice' will precede 'by circumstance'.
Why by choice? - The place where I was working, the management and I had issues with each other and circumstances became such that I just quit. It was a sudden decision which put me off completely and left me kind of depressed. I was not interested in doing anything. Not even in finding another job soon whereas everyone around me was telling to update my resume and start applying.
Even though I have gotten over my off mood to quite an extent but I guess the anger inside me towards the previous company is so much that it will take time. I even thought of writing a letter to the CEO from my personal email ID to tell him how his management thinks and works. If you differ from their views, you are called resistant to feedback. If you question them about processes to only understand them better, you are called not trying to adjust. If you try to give feedback/opinion form your past work experience, you are told they will look at the project experiences from their company only.
Why by circumstances? - Our home PC had gone kaput and it took us a week to bring it back on. And it worked for 2 days and now its back to square one when I'm unable to connect again. When I called these Internet guys, they said my network card is not working. *sigh*...why does everything come down crashing all at the same time.
Anyhow, I'm trying to look at the brighter side of the life and have decided I will start applying for a new job but not in an aggressive manner and enjoy this unplanned break to the maximum extent I can.
Now a days that I am home, I pick up Anirudh after school and we have lots of fun at home. But there are still days when I let him stay at the daycare and pick him up only at the evening as I do not want him to get into habit of coming back home right after school because I know sooner than later, I will get into a job and his routine will be changed again.
As the title of my post says, I'm back from my hibernation and will resume my writings on here.

Me & My Blackberry!
And ever since I got my Blackberry - thanks to my eldest Jijaji and got the services enabled, life's been so different. I can be lying on my bed at night and can catch up with my sisters in US or a friend through either GoogleTalk or Yahoo!IM. I can write and reply to mails using it - whether personal or official. I can browse the web and read the blogs - YES!...all through my Blackberry! Its a BlackBerry 7100g model - an old but good enough for my requirements!Whatever part of the country I'm, I'm connected to the Internet. Who needs to carry a heavy laptop just for the net connection now! :D It reminds me of the time when we were travelling to UP in mid of May for a cousins' wedding, I was almost giving hour to hour updates to my SIL/BIL/MIL via chat. :D They were quite excited about the wedding but due to some constraints weren't able to make it for the wedding.
And it turned out so much cheaper too since there's no extra charge on Internet connectivity on roaming but a lot if you SMS or call. So worked out great for all of us. :D
And when I don't want to use the Internet, I've my default game that comes with it 'Brickbreaker' to the rescue. Its an age old game but I really love it. Have been playing for almost a year now and am still not bored of it. Now DH is also addicted to that game.
So to summarise.. I LOVE MY BLACKBERRY! And THANK YOU Jijaji!

Internet addiction more serious than OCD
I happened to chance upon this article which says Internet addiction is more serious than OCD. And it made me wonder and I started to relate it to self after I had read the article completely.
I think I can also call myself an Internet addict. I have a feeling of incompleteness, some void when I am not able to spend any time on the Internet. I'm sure it could be called a false feeling but I get a feeling of being 'connected' when I have ready access to the Internet. If there's no Internet connection I feel as if one lifeline is dead.
Even if it means just getting online for 5 minutes to check my email. Be it at work or at home. There HAS to be Internet connectivity available! And I feel the article aptly said, "Internet addiction is not manifesting itself as an 'urge.' It's more than that. It's a deep 'craving."
But I never paid so much though to my behaviour until I read this article and it make me wonder if I should do something about it.
Any of you have any thoughts on this?

Funny Quotes!
Some funny quotes that I received in my jokes subscription and I thought it would be a good idea to share it with all. So enjoy!!
"My wife thinks I'm too nosy. At least that's what she keeps scribbling in her diary." -Drake Sather
You know when you're sitting on a chair and you lean back so you're just on two legs then you lean too far and you almost fall over but at the last second you catch yourself? I feel like that all the time." -Steven Wright
"Some folks are wise and some are otherwise." --Tobias George Smolett
"According to Glamour magazine, 83 percent of women tell their friends secrets to their husbands. So women, if you tell your girlfriend something, 83 percent chance she will tell her husband. But the good news? One hundred percent of the men aren't listening anyway." -Jay Leno
"Russia is claiming that it owns the North Pole. President Bush is furious and said, 'That's ridiculous - everyone knows the North Pole is owned by Santa.'" -Conan O'Brien

Funny colleague!
I find the person who sits next to me so funny. Funny because whenever she will sneeze she will say "Bless Me!" without fail! First time I heard it I thought I didn't hear it correctly and that my mind was working overtime. But the second time it happened, I had to really control myself from laughing out.
Makes me think that I should start saying "Bless you!" to her so that she doesn't feel the lack of the blessings when she sneezes to say it to herself! :P
But seriously..I think this is just too much!

Drink Water!
Long back in one of my older companies, I had setup a reminder in my Outlook to pop out ever hour saying "Drink Water". It might sound funny but its true. I literally had to remind myself to drink water or there would be days when I would have had just about 2 glasses in the entire day. So this seemed to be best possible way to remind myself to drink water :)
Few of my close colleagues used to really make fun of me because of this reminder. And once when I went away from my PC they (Manish Sinha & Anshul Sharma) changed the message but obviously unknown to me. Those days we used to use Windows 98 which didn't have a password system lock option.
So when I came back and was really engrossed in something and suddenly the reminder pops up saying "Drink Beer!" Since my mind was totally lost into the work I had to read it 5 times to understand what it was saying and that I was not hallucinating and also to realise what had conspired behind my back. And I didn't have to think hard at all to figure out who must have done it. So when I looked at them, they were giggling sitting at their workstations!
That time I didn't find it funny at all but later I had such a good laugh thinking of the incident. :)

Celebrating Ma's birthday at the blind school!
Every year on this day Appa sponsors the lunch at the blind school on the Panchkuian Road, New Delhi (near connaught place) to celebrate Ma's birthday! So we go there and serve food to the children.
It is such a nice feeling to see them enjoying something as basic as 'matar paneer' and going 'wow' over it. I said basic because that's how we feel about it. But not them. For them its something really special. Seeing them relishing the matar paneer, boondi raita, bhindi and roti gave us such a satisfaction. Whenever we would serve them something, most of them would without fail would say 'Thank you" so sweetly and sometimes in a sing-song tone. And that's when I felt, its worth it! Worth everything.
Since the lunch room is not large enough to feed all the members/children in one go, there are 2 shifts. In the second shift, as I was serving a boy of about 12-14 yrs, I saw that he suddenly smiled and said "Kya hua chhotu?" I wondered who he was talking to and looked around. I saw a little boy of about 5-6 yrs of age walking in the lunch room. He followed the voice of the elder boy and reached him. I think the little boy sensed me standing close to him and in a low tone said something to the older one. The elder one grinned from ear to ear and stood up and hunched towards the little boy and told him to speak in his ear. The little boy said something and the elder one replied "Aata hoon!" and then the little one shyly went away. And then I happened to glance at Appa who was also looking at these boys talking and was smiling. Appa and me just looked at each other and smiled. And thats when I felt that these children are no different than us!
This was the first time I took Anirudh to this place. I had told him that we will go and give party to some children because of Nani's birthday. But I guess I should have told him more about these children because he was getting a bit uncomfortable seeing them behaving a bit differently. I did try and tell him that they cannot see because they got hurt in the eyes. He nodded as if he understood but I do not really know how much he did!
