...you are introduced to your colleagues in the new department where you have just moved and that colleague says "Welcome Abode" instead of "Welcome Aboard"?
Initially I thought I was hearing it wrong but when the same colleague sent me some information and wrote the word as I had heard it i.e. "abode", I just smiled and...smiled :D
lol...
ReplyDeletelady u have been tagged!
blame it on stress or on recession induced stress...

Well, maybe your new colleague spends so much time in office that it has become his/her 'abode' and therefore he/she welcomed you 'abode'
ReplyDeletemaybe he thinks its like your home! so abode! :p
ReplyDeleteha ha !!!
ReplyDeleteerm... maybe he's inviting you to his abode? presuming he/she's decent enough... i'd write back saying "sure! when am i invited to your abode?"

hee hee, these types are rampant in India. I was watching the Filmfare awards when one of the young Slumdog millionaire boys said they were 'fecilitated' in Hollywood not once but twice! I too am guilty of some howlers but that's due to my dyslexia - I can't spell correctly.
ReplyDeleteDo you work at Adobe? :-)
